Why do toaster ovens always lose their ability to cook well?

Build Your Own Wood Burning Pizza Oven

It seems like every toaster oven I’ve ever had works perfectly for 2-3 months, then works alright for 2-3 more months, then is just terrible from that point out. What about toaster ovens makes them always fade out like that?

  1. I seem to have luck with mine and use them all the time in the summer and every morning for toast throughout the year. What I found is the elements burn out. I seem to remember when I was growing up, whenever the big oven was put on broil, my mother would open the oven door when she was broiling steaks. I think it keeps the coils from overheating – don’t know why else she would do that. But I have had the coils overheat and literally break. So, look at your coils to see if they are changing shape, have balloons forming in the coil. If so, that could be your problem. And, if it’s made by a company that gets their parts from someone who isn’t interested in producing a good quality product, that part goes out fast.

    Hope that helps.
