I GENERALLY ADD 1/2 CAN LIQUID DEPENDING ON TYPE OF SOUP. ADD MILK IF CREAMED SOUP. THE CROCK POT WILL MAINTAIN THE MOISTURE FROM WHATEVER IS BEING COOKED. MORE CAN BE ADDED LATER IF NEEDED.

No, because you need less liquid than you would in an ordinary saucepan or casserole. Steam rises, hits the lid and goes back down into the stew. Self basting.

depends on how strong you want the flavor for a more settle flavor add the water, for stronger flavor do not.
