What Color Should I Paint My Cabinets To Go With Almond Appliances?
I have a galley kitchen and the floor has a dark green marble tile with some black and a little gray. The grout is also black.
I can’t afford to change the appliances at this time but when I do they will probably be stainless steel. The counter top I painted it a gold and sponged a darker glaze on top.

What color are your walls? It sounds like the floor is fairly dark but I can’t quite visualize the counter top. Without photos, it’s hard to say but my first reaction was to paint them a dark chocolate or espresso color. When you get the stainless appliances, it will look really good and even with the almond appliances it should still look very nice. I would paint the walls a light taupe to marry all the colors, from the brown family together but keep the room from feeling too dark.
I would paint the cabinetry also in Almond. If that colour matches nicely now with your counter top, it will still match after you introduce the stainless steel. The cabinets and counter top will go together, then the stainless steel will go together. Then you can introduce accents throughout the kitchen that will match the floor and you should achieve a nice flow.
If your cabinet are of wood, then stain it with a light to medium shade of brown and show off the natural grain to bring out an appealing overall impact to your kitchen.
This look would look great with both almond appliances or stainless steel ones.
But if you want paint, then same- light to medium shade of brown.
The color scheme that you’ll be creating will be organic- black, greys, dark greens, almonds, gold, and browns.
Good luck!
I would also stick with a cream or almond color, as I think you’ve got enough other colors going on between the floor and countertop. Here’s more on painting cabinets:http://www.oldhouseweb.com/how-to-advice…
Save all your money towards getting new appliances. Those have to be really old, I haven’t seen almond appliances since the late 80′s
