What Color Kitchen Sink Should I Put In My New Kitchen?
What element in the kitchen is the sink supposed to coordinate with? I have medium brown cabinets and wood floors, mostly beige (with little brown and very little black mixed in) tile countertops and backsplash and black/stainless appliances. The appliances have a high gloss sheen on the black parts, so I was thinking of doing a glossy black kitchen sink. What are your suggestions?

If you don’t want stainless, you really need to go with white or off white. those tie in nice with anything you do in the future. You don’t want to have to change sink every time you paint a different color.
There is no hard and fast rule on what “matches” what. I don’t think the black sink would look too good in the light tile countertop. i also agree that black sinks are hard to keep clean (had one and hated it.) My kitchen also has medium brown cabinets with black appliances and a black countertop with stainless edge and a green subway tile backsplash. My floors are light reddish brown italian tile. I put in a white “farmhouse” sink and it looks fine since the window frames and trim in the kitchen are white. You might want to try a beige enameled sink near the color of some of the tile. I think too much matching in a kitchen looks dull.
But it’s all pretty much personal taste.
I also would get a stainless sink regardless of the kitchen colour scheme. Stainless is durable, cheap, and easy to keep looking good. Coloured sinks, usually porcelain, get marked up by utensils and look terrible after a while unless you clean them all the time. And black is the hardest colour to keep looking clean since it will show every tiny bit of anything stuck to it.
Your kitchen design has neutral colors so I think it will turn out great. Glossy black seems very modern! Hopefully these help:http://www.bobvila.com/HowTo_Library/Cho…http://www.hgtv.com/kitchens/choosing-th…
Good luck!
Can’t go wrong with stainless.
I personally would go with a stainless steel sink.
