I just bought a house and the fridge is white, stove/oven is white but the dishwasher is black. Should they all be the same color?

In an ideal world, yes. But sometimes we have to “make do”. Right now all my appliances are either black or stainless except the fridge. Not that I am in a hurry to replace it because of the cost! When this one goes, it will be replaced with either black or stainless.
But changing the color of a dishwasher is easy. Take the front panel off and either spray paint it with enamel or take it to an auto body shop and see what they would charge you to spray it in the paint booth. The advantage of having a body shop do it is that their paint booth is climate controlled and has all kinds of air filters to keep the dust and dirt out and not ending up in the paint. My husband changed our old dishwasher’s front panel by spray painting it and it looked great!
Ideally, yes, they should be the same color. But did you know that sometimes the front panels of dishwashers can be reversed? Check out the owner’s manual (if the old owner left one) and see if this is an option.
If not, you can sometimes order just the front panel of a dishwasher in the usual colors. This would be cheapest and easiest fix if you can’t reverse the current panel.
Just work with it and mix your appliances and items, some black, some white. You may be able to find dishes and bowls that come in both colours, so you can have, say, a white bowl for fruit, a white cruet, and a black jug of flowers. You could also get black and white individual tiles to use as trivets. Check out the bargain discount stores.
Thats exactly how it is in my house. You can try to remove the front panel from the dishwasher to see if there is a white one. If it really bothers you, then you can paint the panel white. You are probably the only one who even notices that the colors of the appliances are not the same.
yes they should, but my fridge is almond and dishwasher and stove is white. This is becuz I had to bring my fridge from my old place where everything was already almond. Who cares really, it is a place to live.
