It is a painstaking grueling chore , by far the worst in a pizza oven, lol
did this for a year.
We used steel wool to get it entirely free of any food residue
We have a brick oven for Pizzas/Rack/Duck etc., and its a pain in the butt to clean. Usually we stoke the fire enough and close it up to burn off any food residue. Then you have to scrape and clean anything thats left on the ceiling parts…and then shovel it all out.
Then start your fire from scratch to actually cook the pizzas, so you arent dealing with ashy wood.
