There is gas coming out of the burner and there is a small spark in the electronic ignition. Does anyone know what I can do to get it to light?

  1. blow air from your mouth at it as you are clicking it to light.

My burners will not light if there is the smallest amount of water in the holes. Have you washed the stove top recently?
    If this doesn’t help, then I don’t know…..
The other burners on your stove WORK! So it has nothing to do with a weak spark. Any spark at all will ignite gas!
And WHY WASTE one hour of gas to dry your burner jets??
A paper towel will do the job immediately.
By now you have certainly solved the problem? How?

  3. i am sorry it won’t light
call a repair man he can help
    (bob the builder!haha jk)

  4. wire issues?

  5. use a match or try cleaning the electronic ignighter off.sometimes they get dirty and wont work

  6. you can usually take the burner out and give it a good clean, make sure none of the holes are blocked with food etc, if its the ignition switch try using a lighter or matches to turn it on,

  7. clean your stove, turn gas on high, light it with a lighter, and wait about an hour…..its normaly just a bit wet in there doing this lets it dry out.

  8. Rita, and rip_61 both have good answers. I had a similar problem with a Roper gas stove that I had at one time. The igniter is not producing a hot enough spark to ignite the gas. That spark unit might have to be replaced, or just light it with a match. The igniter will be expensive to replace.
