You need to use soft scrub with bleach with a blue no scratch scotch brite. Rinse well, then wipe down with windex and lint free cloth or paper towels.

If its old stainless steel then you can use an abrasive. try a scouring pad or one of those sponges that have the green scrubby things on one side. That and any detergent should work. if you have baked on food or grease you can sue biological washing powder mixed with a little water to turn it into a paste and then scrub it in and leave it for a few minutes. Rinse and repeat if necessary.

Barkeepers Friend is a good cleaner, for stainless steel.
