I have no idea so always try to not cook with gas if possible as i believe electric is cheaper. Is there really that much gas in the world for us to run our gas cookers? Is it constant gas or another substance also that is emitted from the hob?
I guess it depends in your area and what your gas company is charging you per gigajoule. You will have to compare your electricity and gas bills. If you own an AGA in Canada, to have the unit for a month with regular household cooking is about $40/month Can. & it’s great for heating the home also.
And even though we should conserve, there is a ton of natural gas in the ground.
I don’t understand what you mean by constant gas, but I know the units heat to a certain temperature and then hold the excess heat internally to use later and if your unit is in good shape it should be highly efficient and cost effective.
