How Much Compensation Can I Expect From My Builder?
I had a kitchen installed which was below standard to the extent of being dangerous and in breach of building regulations. It took just over a week to install. It took three months for him to accept responsibility and is now putting it right. The whole kitchen has had to be refitted including re-plastering, new electrics, some new cabinets and appliances. The kitchen has been completely out of use now for 2 and a half weeks and ongoing. I am having to cook on a camping gaz stove and wash up in the bathroom sink. I live in a one bed flat so it is very uncomfortable. He has agreed that compensation is applicable but I am not sure how much is reasonable. Many thanks for sensible answers!
I could not give an exact answer for this because I have not viewed it.My general estimate is that the 75% of the amount you have given because the 25% goes for his vain.When you remodel the kitchen again be careful such that no irregularities come again.It’s better you wash the dish plates in a separate tub because it causes infections.I think it’s sensible.
