I actually don’t think it really matters. I have some el cheapo brand and it works great.
National – Japanese brand, my mom believes it’s the best brand. So do my aunts!
I have a Hitachi 5.5 cup. I like to cook one dish meals in it also. Just put in all your ingredients at once and turn the pot on. Cooks everything at one time with very little cleanup.

I got the one from costco. Dunno the brand. The first one stopped working, but got a new one. This one has lasted longer. Makes perfect rice.
You can also steam rice on the stove if you don’t have one.

electric rice cooker is just the best.it really sonsumes ur time and in the mean while u can carry on with other cleaning or cooking.well i use NATIONAL brand.its a good one
The ones sold at the Chinese markets are authentic and last for a very long time and are not cheap.I have two a large six to eight cup from Hamilton Beach and a small three to five cup,that only cost $10 dollars,they both do the job.

I do use a rice cooker, Zojirushi brand. Have it for over 10 years and still cooking.
