Can i plug a electric oven into a wall socket that is down the back of the cooker? It is turned off and on by the cooker switch on the wall.
The cooker that i have a the moment is gas but also has a plug that plugs in that socket.
Hopefully this makes sense?

matt’s answer is correct. the electric range cord will not work in the same plug as a gas range
No. gas ovens use 120 volts and a 15 amp circuit. Electric ovens nees 240 volts and a 40 amp circuit.
