Electric Cookers?
I’m moving into a flat which has no gas supply, which is unfortunate as I hate electric cookers.
The electric cooker my boyfriend has at the moment is really rubbish (I think it may be a really cheap one – I’ve never heard of the brand). It takes ages to heat up, then ages to cool down again, and the oven is the same making cooking really difficult.
Im quite a keen cook, and also love to bake, so I really need to make sure we get a good cooker/oven – does anyone have any suggestions for what type of cooker is best (i.e. glass topped/ceramic topped/hot plates) for good heating up, heat transfer and cooling down.
Also which brands are the best and which to avoid.
Thanks for your help!
I have a glass top stove, and I like it fine. You do need flat bottomed pots though – otherwise the pot will NOT get hot. I have a regular electric stove at the cottage and I find the glass top easier to keep clean – unless you burn something really bad, then its a lot of elbow grease; but then again its hard to clean a coiled burner on an ongoing basis. I regret not having put in a gas stove though – I don’t think it compares to electric.
Any brand toaster- convection oven.
glass cook topes are the best i love mine
