Do gas ovens take less time to heat up than electric ovens?
That is all. Thank you.
Though I guess if you know how much less time it takes that would be helpful too.
Ok, I guess it’s possible that my sense of how long an oven should take to heat up is a little wacky since up till recently I had been using my parents’ electric oven which was made in the 50s and is perhaps not as fast as modern electric ovens.

They take about the same amount of time to heat to temp. It is just that gas ovens tend to heat the room quicker than electric does.
I have both gas and electric wall ovens in my kitchen.
they take about the same but electric cooks stuff a little bit faster
No, They take about the same amount of time.
My mom has a gas oven and I have an electric oven and her oven heats up a lot quicker than mine does… it could just be the brand though???
Gas ovens do pre-heat faster, recover heat faster when the door is opened and tend to run a little hotter, check temp. carefully, we usually drop ours a notch so as not to be too hot.
I have an electric oven and it preheats itself before setting itself to the exact temp. I havent had much exp. with gas ovens but I have seen how they are lit and it looks to be almost the same as a regular oven.
