Are There Any Safety Devices For A Auto Ignite Gas Stove. If Dial Not Turned Properly Gas Continues To Run.?

Someone can turn dial to ignite, and not turn off completely and gas will leak into home without anyone knowing. Is there any kind of safety device, for these stoves

   None that I have heard of. I would think though if gas is seeping into the house you would certainly smell it since gas has a bad odor put in there for just that purpose.
   Call the Mfg. 800 number and ask about this or go online through Google;

   If you turn past the igniter, then yes the gas will flow. If its a child your concerned about, you can purchase child safety caps for the dials at any appliance dealer.
