  2. I’ve hidden things, like dirty dishes and clutter when I have unexpected guests.

  3. Shrinky Dinks ~ they are these plastic toys that the kids paint and then you shrink them into ornaments or little toys that they play with. Weird and quite dangerous because they really get hot!!! The name is truly weird too!!!

  5. i’ve used the oven to dry out my cell phone after i dropped it in a big puddle, it worked perfectly fine afterward too

  6. Not me but a friend of my late Grandmother used to hide her jewellery in it when she went on holiday.
    She hid it in cooking fat before it set. When she got home she gently heated it up until it melted enough to take it out.

    Lost the hole-punch needed an extra hole in my belt heated a nail on a gas ring and plunged it through the belt. Nice clean hole.

    I’ve used my oven to make my son a “pet” rock- you color the rock then put it in the oven for a few minutes.

    Cleaning, i put a bowl of bicarb, white wine vinegar and lemon juice in a tin to clean my oven- works a treat!! x

  26. I once used my oven to keep an orphan lamb warm!! Don’t laugh, I wrapped it up in an old towel, swithched the oven on a low heat and opened the drop down door and laid the lamb on it! It worked until the farmer came to rescue it! It was a freezing cold day and it was the quickest way I could think of!! Incidently, I did give the oven a good clean afterwards lol

    Edit: I gave you a star coz my mum used to drive me to school in a Hillman Avenger – the bloke next door used to have to push start us every morning and my sister would wait at the end of the road to get in coz she was so embarrased – memories!!!

  31. my brother used to put one bit of his motorbike in the freezer so it shrank a little, and warm the other bit in the oven so it expanded a little, to get them to fit back together….
