I don’t understand why it went out – i’ve been living here a year and it’s never gone out. I had smelled smoke, called the gas company and they came out and turned it back on. Is it safe to go to sleep tonight? Why would the pilot light on my stove go out?

You instantly get heat from a gas stove.. electric stove coils have to gradually heat up causing you to wait.

I’m trying to decide on a new kitchen but as I don’t have one of those women sidekicks to decide, I’m at a loss. I don’t want it to look like a bachelor pad or covered in pink wallpaper. I’ve already bought the appliances which are stainless steel. Thanks for any ideas…..:)

i have a gas line which feeds into my heater in the lounge room but i want to install a gas stove in my kitchen can i join a line onto the existing gas line which runs down the outside of my house and then put a gas wall bayonnet in the wall

We’ve just finished a kitchen renovation and we were stunned to find that all of our hard work tracking down good Ikea cabinets & appliances is essentially wiped out by a 20% “owner-supplied materials” costs. What on earth is THAT??
