Can i plug a electric oven into a wall socket that is down the back of the cooker? It is turned off and on by the cooker switch on the wall. The cooker that i have a the moment is gas but also has a plug that plugs in that socket. Hopefully this makes sense?

Does anyone have any preferences on appliance? We are looking at Kenmore, Frigidaire and Whirlpool for a refrigerator, stove and dishwasher.
